1. Upload all necessary SendSafe operating files to the web server (more information). "Operations" menu and select "FORCE UPLOAD OF WEB FILES" submenu. Next press the [START PROCESSING] button on the robot. The upload should now be running. A sample website will have been created when your created you store front. This sample website will be located in the store front subdirectory. To prevent over-writing of html files on the web server, this store front is never automatically uploaded to the server. You can copy this store front in its entirety to the web server.
The sample web site will be located in the SendSafe robot's directory in a sub directory named:
"..\SendSafe\MyStore.store\asp"
2. Since this is the first time the robot is run, the robot will perform automated web site configuration steps:
Do not worry IF the robot issues an error message that the website is not locked down. We will lockdown the website in the following steps.
If the configuration is not correct, the robot will encounter operating problems. Look at the status message window. This is the large window at the bottom of the robot where messages will be scrolling up as the robot runs. If you see error messages in this window you will need to stop the robot and correct these problems (for help see the Correcting Configuration Problems section in this setup guide).
The directory structure upload / created by the robot should never be modifed directly on the web sever. The directory structure on the web server is defined here.
3. Wait until the robot has completed a full pass (Security control activity display show "idle"). You can also identify when a full pass is complete by checking that the "Next Action" displayed shows a "time values" and not the word "now".
4. Restrict access to the webserver SendSafe subdirectories and Admin Subdirectory by modifying the IIS Security
./SendSafe/ SendSafe directory:
./SendSafeAdm/ Admin sub directory:
