Call Center Operation
Call Center customer order entry is done as a combination of the Customer Admin page and the
standard sendsafe shopping pages. You start at the customer admin page where you locate the existing customer’s
record. You then proceed by pressing a button which takes you to the shopping pages which will have been
automatically setup for
you to place an order as the customer. For new customers you go immediately to the shopping pages and place the order.

To place an order for an existing customer
Below are the 4 steps needed to place an order for an existing customer. The process is quick and easy.
- You will start at the Customer Admin page.
Load the customer’s record into the admin admin page.
- Press the [ Place Order As George Smith ] button ("George Smith" will display the actual name of the customer you have found).
- Pressing this button will automatically log you in as this customer (George Smith)
and take you to the website shopping pages.
On the shopping pages you will add to the cart the product(s) for this customer using
all the types of product browsing supported by your site (i.e. search, drill-down browsing, selection
dropdown boxes, etc.).
- When all products have been added to the cart, select checkout and proceed to the checkout pages.
On the first page of the checkout process, press the [Instant Checkout button]. Your order will be processed
automatically and billed to the credit card number on file for the customer. That's it you are done!
- Be sure to logout (as the customer) after the order has been placed.
To place an order as new customer
Below are the steps needed to place an order for new customer. The process is easy.
- You will start at the Customer Admin page.
- Press the [ Place Order as New Customer ] button. It is very important to use the [ Place Order as New Customer ] button.

DO NOT FILL INFORMATION INTO THE CUSTOMER ADMIN PAGE FORM (if you do, will need to renter this information into the shopping cart shipping information page. Information entered on this page will be filled into the billing information page).
- Pressing the [ Place Order as New Customer ] button will automatically log out from any customer
logins you may have previously performed and take you to the website shopping pages.
On the shopping pages you will add to the cart the product(s) for this customer using
all the types of product browsing supported by your site (i.e. search, drill-down browsing, selection
dropdown boxes, etc.).
- When all products have been added to the cart, select checkout and proceed to the checkout pages.
On the first page of the checkout process, you will enter a username and password for the customer's account.
This username and password must be unique for this customer. We suggest that use the e-mail address for the user name
and either a password the customer selects. SendSafe can also optionally be setup to automatically create a username and
password for you. This automatic option is not recommended for most public websites because it is better for the
customer to pick a username and password they will remember. For private intranet ordering pages, the automatic password
selection function is strongly recommended.
- After automatically or manually selecting a username and password, the system will advance to the shipping information
entry page. On this page you will enter all shipping information for this order. The system can optionally be configured
to support multiple shipping addresses for a single order. Once the shipping information has been entered press the button
labeled [ Continue Check out ].
- After pressing the [ Continue Check out ], the system will advance to the billing information entry page. On this
page you will enter all billing information for this order. You can utilize the “Make Address Same As Shipping
Address” dropdown box on this page to select for a billing address one of the shipping addresses that was entered on
the previous page. Once the billing information has been entered press the button labeled [ Continue Check out ].
You are done!
- Be sure to logout (as the customer) after the order has been placed.
