We received your request for quotation, and thank you for the opportunity!
You can really help us tailor this quote to your needs and tastes by answering this questionnaire...
When answering this questionnaire, think about your web site as a full color printed brochure. With a web site as with a brochure, you are commissioning C Prompt to create a winning sales presentation for you. To accomplish this goal many disciplines must be blended together to achive successful results:
- marketing research
- copy design
- art design
- engineering.
The purpose of this questionnaire is to help zero in on the "Production Quality" that will work best for your business and your budget. Please read the explanation of Production Quality below and then fill out the questionnaire at the end of this page.
Websites primarily deliver their message using a combination of artwork (graphics) and text. A measurement of quality for a website's artwork is called the "Production Quality" of the website.
It is the look of the artwork that establishes a theme for a web site. It is very important that the theme of the web site project the proper image for your business. Equal in effect to the content of the artwork itself is the Production Quality of the artwork. Production Quality can greatly effect the image projected by a website.
The decisions you make on Production Quality are important. Production Quality is often the second largest area where development dollars are spent (coming just after i-commerce and information processing). Every website has had some trade off between Production Quality and expense.
Another way to understand Production Quality is to think of it in terms of the Fit and Finish of a custom home, the higher the Fit & Finish, the higher the cost for that home, and the bigger the impact that home makes on visitors.
There are three general classifications of Production Quality that are adhered to at C Prompt. These classifications are Production Quality Levels: A, B+, and B. We do not do the lower quality "pre-canned" websites. All the sites we do all are original works.
*The costs shown below are general estimates and not a quote or bid. They are provided to give you an idea of the cost difference between various levels of Production Quality. The cost for your project development will vary depending upon the complexity and type of work performed. The most accurate pricing information possible will be provided to you in the quote that you will receive from Prompt. For more information on general costs see rates and costs.

General cost breakdown:
- Photographic shoots of Products typically cost about $390 for setup and then about $162 per item used on the website.
- On-site photographic shoots of people and facilities typically cost $1000 per day ($500 for half days) and then about $162 per image used on the website.
- High Quality Stock Artwork typically costs $200 to $1000 for a web license (often the fee is an annual royalty fee payable every year).
- Medium Quality Stock Artwork typically costs $40 for a royalty free license.
- For information on average costs for various types of websites see rate and costs.
There are several actions that can be taken to lower the costs for a given level of Production quality without lowering the website's actual quality.
- Use preexisting artwork that you already own. The artwork can be scanned by C Prompt from printed material such as brochures or it can be provided to C Prompt in digital format.
- Use lower prices stock artwork in place of some custom artwork. There are a number of inexpensive sources of high quality images that can be used on a website (example www.eyewire.com). These images can be used instead of custom artwork as long as their cost is lower (typical Stock Artwork pricing ranges from $40.00 to $1000.00).
- Limit the number of proposed looks and mock-ups that are developed by C Prompt for your approval.
